Mudd Madness 2026 is Coming Back to Poley Mountain

We're excited to bring Mudd Madness back to Poley Mountain on Saturday, September 19, 2026! Get ready for a full day of head-to-head ATV bog racing!

From youth riders to 1000+ cc machines, this event will feature a full lineup of ATV and UTV classes, along with the ultimate ATV vs. UTV Open Class.

Whether you're ready to take your machine into the mud or you're coming to watch the action, we invite you to join us for Mudd Madness 2026.

What is Mudd Madness?

If you've never seen bog racing in person, here's the short version: riders go head-to-head through a mud pit, and whoever comes out the other side first (or at all, depending on how deep it gets) wins the heat. No experience necessary to enjoy watching it!

Ready to Race?

Adult registration is $50 for the first class, with additional classes available for $20 each.

Youth registration is $20 (parental consent waiver required).

You can register online in advance. Registration will begin at 10 AM on the day of the event.

All racers must also complete the Torque E-Waiver before participating and present the signed document to event staff at registration.

Classes

Whether you're bringing a youth rider, lining up with your ATV, or putting your UTV to the test, there's a class for you:

Up to 110cc: Youth 11 & Under
500–600cc: Youth 12–15
601–700cc
701–800cc
801–850cc
1000cc+
UTV: No turbo or power adder
UTV: With turbo or power adder
Open Class: ATV vs. UTV

And yes, we're particularly curious to see what happens when the ATVs and UTVs line up against each other.

Coming to Watch?

You don't have to race to be part of Mudd Madness.

Spectators are welcome to come out and enjoy the racing action for $15 admission, payable at the Poley Mountain driveway entrance.

Come watch the machines take on the mud, cheer on the competitors, and enjoy the atmosphere at Poley Mountain. The Slope Side Patio & Restaurant will be open with food and drinks overlooking the action, and live music will also be part of the day.
